There are rainy days and then there are rainy Hamburg days, which arrive more frequently and with greater personal conviction. Jumping Point in Quickborn is the answer to most of them. It’s a 3,500 square metre indoor trampoline park 20 minutes north of Hamburg with enough going on that children burn through energy at a rate that makes the drive home genuinely peaceful.

The hall is climate-controlled, which in practice means it works in February and August equally well, and you don’t have to pretend either way.

What’s There

The jumping area covers 2,400 square metres and is divided into themed zones, each doing something slightly different. The Free Jump area is standard open trampolining. The High Jump section has a pit to land in and is largely self-explanatory. The Foam Pit is a deep block pool you can throw yourself into from height, which is exactly as chaotic as it sounds. The Battle Beam puts two people on a balance beam above a foam pit and asks them to sort it out. The Slam Dunk Area has basketball hoops at multiple heights so smaller children can also dunk successfully, which they find deeply satisfying. And the Dodge Ball field runs volleyball-style trampolines across eight lanes, turning a school PE activity into something considerably more athletic.

Tickets are time-based: 60, 90 or 120 minutes. Most children want 90. One hour is enough for a taster; 120 minutes is for children who take this seriously or who need extra time to come down from the Foam Pit.

The Bit About Thursday

Every Thursday: 50% off all regular jump tickets. SuperPoint60 drops to €7.00. SuperPoint90 to €9.50. This isn’t a limited offer, it’s a standing weekly deal called Happy Thursday and it applies to any regular visit. It doesn’t apply to birthday packages or public holidays. If you have any flexibility in your week, Thursday is the day to go.

Socks, Booking and the Other Practical Things

Jumping Socken are mandatory on the trampolines and cost €3 a pair. They’re yours to keep, so bring them back on the next visit. Non-jumping adults get in free, which covers the parent who has decided their knees don’t need this.

Online booking is strongly recommended for weekends, school holidays and Fridays. Walk-ins are possible but capacity isn’t guaranteed. Arrive 15 minutes before your jump time to check in. The booking system is on the official website.

You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks, which is not something most venues offer and worth knowing if you have fussy eaters or a packed lunch already sorted. The JumpPoint Bar also serves food and drinks on site if you’d rather not bring anything.

For birthday parties there are three packages from €22.90 per child, all including socks, a reserved table and 90 to 120 minutes of jumping time. Non-jumping adults attend free. Minimum six children. The table is reserved an hour before and an hour after the jump time, and own food and drinks are welcome on top of whatever package you book. Worth planning ahead for school holidays.

Getting There

The park is directly off the A7, exit Quickborn. Free parking on site. By public transport: bus to “Quickborn-Heidefriedhof”, which the official website confirms is directly outside the entrance. Free WiFi in the building.
