Tala 300 is not a commercial soft play chain. It’s an activity hall run by volunteers from the SiB-Club e.V., housed inside a school building on Tangstedter Landstraße in Langenhorn, and it’s been doing exactly what it does for years without any particular fanfare. Giant climbing tower, ropes course, Air Track, ball pit, trapeze swings, a baby platform for the under-twos, a movement construction zone where the layout changes daily, and a giant trampoline. Kids from 10 months to about 12 years. Staff who are actually there and paying attention. A cafeteria run by what the website cheerfully describes as the “TALA Muttis.” Coffee and cake available. Waffles, crêpes, pizza, hot dogs.
The original article calls it a place for 1 to 6 year olds. It isn’t. The age range goes up to 12 and the climbing equipment reflects that. If you have an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old, both will find something. The baby platform and ball pit handle the small ones. The giant climbing tower and trampoline handle everyone else.
What to Know Before You Go
A few things the original article misses that matter practically. First, strollers are not permitted inside for fire safety reasons. Leave it in the car or fold it at the entrance. Second, the hall is cold in winter. Multiple reviewers specifically flag this. Bring warm clothes and proper shoes rather than socks, especially from October onwards. Third, the music is on and it’s loud. It’s an indoor activity hall, not a library, but worth knowing if you have a noise-sensitive child.
The cafeteria is usually open, but if fewer than 8 people have booked a session, it may not be. In that case the no-outside-food rule is lifted and you can bring your own snacks and drinks. You’ll be told in advance via the booking system. On a normal busy day, no outside food or drinks are permitted.
Photos inside the hall are not allowed. The venue is quite firm about this.
Hours, Booking, and Closures
Wednesday to Friday the hall opens 16:00-19:00. Saturday runs two sessions: 9:00-12:00 and 12:30-15:30. Closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Closed on public holidays. Closed during the Hamburg summer school holidays. Also closed in the Christmas holidays. Check the website before you go — the place can close at short notice for special events.
Online booking is not optional. Without a reservation, entry is not guaranteed. Book via the Yolawo booking system on the website. The hall can also close early if fewer than 8 guests remain in the final hour.
Birthday parties are available. Contact the hall directly.
